The German-Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce for over 90 years promotes the development and expansion of economic and business relationships between Greece and Germany, through a wide range of services and activities. Through the Global Network of Bilateral German Chambers, with 130 offices in 90 countries, The German-Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce provides access to a members network of 45.000 enterprises-members which support each other, while it allows the use of numerous facilities under special agreements.

In order to support the internationalization of Greek enterprises in practical terms, the Greek-Latin American Business Council, the German-Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry organize a Workshop on business opportunities in the Latin American markets on Thursday May 18th, 17.00 at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry auditorium (7 Akadimias str., 6th floor).

The event aims to familiarize Greek extrovert companies which are eyeing business development in alternative foreign markets with a large Continent that can provide new opportunities for exports and other type of collaborations. Ambassadors and Commercial Counselors of Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Panama will deliver presentations on recent economic developments and forecasts, consumer trends and needs, characteristics of local markets, rising sectors, business environment, trade practices, etc. and they will be available for networking and individual discussions with interested companies.

Some of the Latin American countries have shown resilience to global crisis, are in a development path and increase their growth potential while the Continent is the second largest trade partner of the European Union.

Following the workshop and similar ones to be held in other regions, a Business Delegation will be organized at a later stage to offer a well-prepared program of B2B meetings with local companies in hunt of potential new partnerships and agreements.
