The German-Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Greek-Asian Business Council organize a Business Delegation to 4 destinations in Asia from 23rd to 30th September, to explore new opportunities in a large geographical region which shows development trends. The delegation will visit Tokyo on 25th-26th September, Βeijing on 27th September, Shanghai on 28th September and Taipei on 29th September.

The mission will offer Greek extrovert enterprises a program of several pre-scheduled meetings with Asian companies so that they engage in discussions which may lead to eventual agreements for exports, synergies, joint-ventures, transfer of know-how, investments, co-operations with local companies, identification of appropriate agents and partners, etc. The Asian countries are developed, they have large populations with purchasing power and increasing consuming trend who appreciate western quality products, thus offering significant business prospects in various fields. 

The delegation will consist of 10 participants approximately from specific sectors, mainly from food & beverages, chemicals/pharmaceuticals/cosmetics, IT, real estate, tourism, without excluding others. The program of the visit will be flexible for optimum use of time, while special efforts will be given to ensure appropriate B2B meetings, which will take place in the premises of local enterprises in Tokyo, in Hotel room in Beijing and Shanghai and in CIECA’s premises in Taipei. In this respect we will be closely cooperating with the Commercial Offices of the Greek Embassies in Tokyo Beijing and Shanghai, with the main Business Organization CIECA in Taiwan and with the respective Bilateral German Chambers in these countries.

In view of the mission, Workshops on Asian markets were conducted in Athens and Thessaloniki (in cooperation with EBETH, FING,  SEVE) which offered useful and practical information on Japanese market and on promotion of agricultural products to Asian markets through EU Programs.
