Which of your personal data are processed and how?
The personal data we collect and process are those which the participants in the events, seminars/ webinars, projects, business missions, and so on reveal either when submitting their details on their registration and/or participation application, or those contained in the photographs, videos or recordings received for any event, seminar/webinar, project, business mission, etc., and which they depict.
The personal data collected in the form of images and/or videos are recorded by audio-visual means and are kept on the Chamber’s files. Some of these are publicly accessible for the purposes of promoting the activities of the Chamber online through its webpage, or via third-party media.
The ONTOCHAIN Summit 2023 and Hackathons will take place online via video conferencing application. During all 3 events, screenshots will be taken as well as video recordings will be made. We collect and process your personal data in the form of images and/or video and/or sound as well as the data you filled in in your registration application.

You can decide yourself if the camera and microphone are switched on or not during the seminar. You are also free to decide to share the contents or not. If you take part in the chat application, we process your personal data contained in the chats, while the other participants are also aware of the contents.
Why do we process your personal data?
Your personal data will be processed only to the extent necessary for the purpose of organising and managing the event, seminar/webinar, project, chamber mission, etc., for billing purposes and for documenting the actions of the Chamber and to promote our project to third parties.
The identifying and contact details of third-party participants – non-members collected will be used, only subject to your consent, for the promotion of informative material related to the activities and services of the Chamber as well as for the sending out of the relevant Newsletter.
What is the legal basis for processing your personal data?
The legal basis for processing your personal data is the following:
- For information included in the registration application: the performance of the contract for participation in the event, seminar/webinar, project, chamber mission and compliance with our legal obligations
- For information included in the audio-visual material: our legal interest in showcasing and promoting the Chamber’s activities
- For the sending out of the newsletter and receiving informative material relevant to all the activities and services of the Chamber: your explicit consent which can be freely withdrawn in the future.
How long do we process your personal data for?
Personal information that you enter when submitting your registration and participation application is deleted after 10 years. The audio-visual material from the events will be kept in the Chamber’s archives indefinitely for reasons of historical continuity.
Who do we share your personal data with?
We process your personal data exclusively for the purposes referred to above. We may share your personal data with other bodies linked to the Chamber and co-organising bodies of the events, seminars, projects, business missions should that be necessary. Any of your personal data that is publicised to promote our work will be made entirely accessible to every third party.
We are organising the ONTOCHAIN Summit 2023 and Hackathons #1 and #2 with the ONTOCHAIN Project, with which we share your personal data.

The co-organisers as well as third-party providers who help us in the organisation and delivery of the event.
What are your rights regarding your personal data processed by the Chamber?
Taking into account certain restrictions which may apply, you have the right to request:
- Access to your personal data, unless the exercising of this right is likely to make impossible or will seriously impede the fulfilling of the Chamber’s objectives.∙

You also have the right to withdraw your consent by contacting the Chamber using the details given at the top of this form. Please note that the withdrawing of your consent does not affect the legality of the processing which was based on your consent until its withdrawal.
Finally, you are entitled to file a complaint for any infringement of the relevant legislation at the competent supervisory authority, which in Greece is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
