Elena Kallona has been the Managing Director of Jungheinrich Greece, a leading provider of integrated intralogistics solutions, since 2002. She began her career in 1992 while studying Marketing and Public Relations, joining her family’s business and later leading its successful acquisition by Jungheinrich. With over 30 years of experience in a traditionally male-dominated industry, she has consistently driven growth, expanded market share, and built strategic partnerships while navigating challenging economic conditions. Under her leadership, Jungheinrich Greece has earned both national and international accolades, including global awards and Great Place to Work® certifications. Elena plays an active role in shaping Jungheinrich Group’s European strategy, contributing to initiatives in innovation, sustainability, and human capital development. In 2023, she was elected Vice President of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a position she held until June 2025. Since 2024, she has also served as Vice President of the Association of Chief Executive Officers (EAΣE).
Recognized for five consecutive years among Fortune’s 30 Most Powerful Women in Business, she has received multiple leadership awards. In 2024, she was named among the Top 10 Leaders in Greece in the category “CEO of Growth and Innovation”.
