“Veridos Matsoukis Security Printing Société Anonyme” is active in the field of security printing in Greece, being the successor to the family owned company “Alexandros Matsoukis S.A.”, which held a leading position in the industry for many decades.

In 2007, after 40 years of cooperation in the production of passports with the internationally owned company “Giesecke & Devrient GmbH”, the joint venture “Giesecke & Devrient Matsoukis S.A.” was established. Its main activity is the production of identification documents, i.e. passports, identity cards, driver’s licenses at international level, which has allowed the Company to obtain one of the highest positions in the global market.

In 2015, the Company has been following the major development footsteps of Veridos GmbH, the joint venture created between “Giesecke + Devrient GmbH” and “Bundesdruckerei GmbH”, i.e. the German State Printing Office.

Thus, the Company has entered a new era, via being renamed as “Veridos Matsoukis S.A.” and being deemed as the sole production unit for identification documents of the German Group.

The Company is located in Ilion – Attica and is currently employing a permanent staff of 400 persons.

The last five years, via an investment program supported by the European Investment Bank, the Company has created a modern electronic passport and identity card production unit, covering even the strictest of the international certifications.

At the same time, it constitutes an major business hub and innovation center in Greece.

Lately, ”Veridos Matsoukis” has inaugurated a new three-year investment program for the further boost in production capability and expansion of its premises.

Combining its long-standing expertise, along with German technologies and Greek techniques, the Company has managed to gain the trust of its partners and the governments of the currently more than 40 countries it now produces identification documents for in Greece.
