Elena Kallona

Elena Kallona was born in 1973 in Athens, is married to Prof. Dr. Med. Konstantinos Spengos and has a daughter named Erietta.

She started her career in June 1992, in parallel with her Marketing and Public Relation studies, working for the family business D. Kallonas & Son Ltd (est. 1957) a very well-known dealer of forklift trucks and warehousing equipment.

In January 2002, after many years of successful cooperation, Jungheinrich AG acquired D. Kallonas & Son Ltd strengthening its global market presence. Since then, Elena Kallona is the Managing Director of Jungheinrich Hellas Ltd.

One of the few women in a male dominated market sector, with 30 years of professional experience in the fascinating world of intralogistics and 20 years of experience in senior management positions. She has been able, over the course of her career, to successfully tackle all challenges, from which she never shies away. Takes pride in her work, delivers results and provides a solid, stable, and safe working environment for her people.

In the fast changing environment of our VUCA world, she always embraces change and acknowledges the fact that without change, products and services become “irrelevant”. This is why Jungheinrich has been her “home” for the last 20 years.

She played and continues to play an important role in forming Future of Work in Jungheinrich, worldwide.

For three years in a row she is in the list of Fortune: Most Powerful Women in Business. Elena Kallona is an active member of:
