Ioannis Mitrousis

Mitrousis Ioannis is the programme leader of BSc Sports Coaching and Physical Education at Metropolitan College at the campus of Piraeus. He studied Physical Education and Sports Science in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with specialization in football. He holds a master’s degree in Sports Coaching (School of PE and Sports Science of Athens, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) with his thesis dealing with the effect of balance training on the technical skills of young football players. Now he is a PhD candidate in Sports Coaching and studies the effect of warm up and re-warm up on technical skills in football. Part of his research activity has been published in international scientific journals and conferences.

He also holds an UEFA B football coaching diploma and is a certified match analyst.  He has worked in various football clubs (non-professional level) as a coach and as a fitness coach. He was also the fitness coach of the pre-national youth team in the Athens region for 4 years.
