George Makripidis

George Makripidis is a Partner in the Deals team and Corporate Finance Leader of PwC Greece.

George joined PwC in 2017. Prior to joining PwC, he was a Director with the Investment Banking practice of Barclays Capital in London covering the SEE region with particular focus on Greece and offering the full spectrum of Investment Banking advice including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and M&A.

George has worked on a number of strategic transactions in the energy sector including the acquisition, through a series of transactions, of 312 MW of wind and PV assets by Helleniq Energy, the acquisition of 110 MW of wind and PV assets by PPC Renewables, PPC’s Joint Venture formation with RWE to develop up to 2 GW of solar projects, the divestment of 47 MW of PV assets by Mytilineos to Motor Oil, two bond issuances for Helleniq Energy and many other capital markets and M&A transactions.

George holds an MSc in Logistics Trade and Finance from City University BAYES Business School in London and a BSc in Economics from the University of Piraeus.
