President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Hellas SA

John Kalligeros, President and CEO of "Mercedes-Benz Hellas SA" was born and raised in the island of Kythera.

After school, he studied engineering at the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Afterwards, he acquired a postgraduate degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Stirling Business School in Scotland.

He started his career in 1988 in London as an International Management Consultant for "Alexander Proudfoot International" company. After 4 years of successful and continuous advancement, in 1992 he returned to Greece and continued his consultant career by undertaking the position of Senior Manager Consultant at "KPMG Peat Marwick Kyriacou".

From 1993  until 1997 he was working for Vassilakis Group of Companies (Aegean Airlines, Seat) as Commercial Manager / Business Development Manager.

He joined "Mercedes-Benz Hellas SA" in 1997 as Director of Network Development. A few years later he took the reins of Commercial Vehicle Sales & Marketing Division and since 2009 those of Passenger Cars Division. Since March 2012, amid an unprecedented crisis in the automotive sector, he leads the company from the position of President and CEO, a position he holds until today.

John Kalligeros speaks English and German and in his free time he plays tennis, golf and does water skiing.

He is married and father of two children.
