Michaela Elena Balis

Michaela Elena Balis, born in Hamburg, is since 2010 Director Greece & Cyprus of the economic development agency of the Federal Republic of Germany, Germany Trade and Invest. Prior to joining Germany Trade and Invest, Michaela was Head of the Economic Relations and Marketing Department of the German-Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce. She holds a University Degree in European and International Economic Sciences from the Athens University of Economics & Business and a Master Degree in European Organization and Diplomacy from the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens. Michaela has a deep knowledge of the German-Greek economic and business relations and of the structures and characteristics of both markets. She is a Member of the Economic and Commercial Diplomats Club of Greece and the Foreign Press Association of Greece.
