Susan King-Barnardo

As of January 2020, Susan is the Managing Director of Merck Greece & Cyprus. Prior to joining the Merck Greece & Cyprus organization Susan was the Managing Director for Slovenia & Croatia. 

Susan has been in the pharmaceutical industry for 19 years, where her career started with Jansen Cilag then Abbott Laboratories in South Africa before joining Merck. A South African native with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science awarded by the University of Port Elizabeth and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the University of South Africa. 

Susan has a deep knowledge of different country markets, structures and characteristics, not only in Europe, but also within Africa. Susan has always attached great importance to interpersonal relationships, building team successes through mutual respect and ongoing, open dialogue, with goal to make a difference in patients’ lives.
