Ioannis received his MEng and MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Ioannis is currently completing his Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine Research at the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery and the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London.

Through Artificial Intelligence, Ioannis has developed a surgical imaging system to guide surgeons with the complete tumour resection during gastrointestinal cancer surgery.

His passion of translating medical devices into the clinical practice led Ioannis to jump into the entrepreneurship world and become CEO and Co-founder of Aisthesis Medical.

Last but not least, Ioannis was honoured to be featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Greece list for 2023 along with his co-founders.
