Curriculum Vitae

Born in 1960 in Samos island Greece and the family moved to Athens in 1967.

He has a daughter of 26 years old.

Manolis graduated from Ionidios model high school in Piraeus and then from Physics science dpt of Univ of Patras (1983) and continued his studies at the Athens University with a Master degree in Electronics and telecommunications (1985).

After fulfilling his service obligations in the Greek Navy as petty officer, he started his career in  the Greek company Diophar (medical devices distributor ) and then 1990 moved to Siemens Hellas medical division as sales and application engineer.

In 1995 he accepted the proposal of  Pharmaserve –Lilly ( pharma co. joint venture between the Greek Pharmaserve and the mult’nal pharma company Eli –Lilly), for managing the newly developed division of medical devices in the company according to the Eli-Lilly’s global launched then project of “disease management”.

Next career step was his appointment in 2000, by Nycomed –Amerham co. as General Manager and CEO in the Greek subsidiary having also the responsibility of Cyprus.

In 2003 the company was acquired by GE and then he, became regional director for the region South Central Europe in General Electric (GE Healthcare) for the Medical Diagnostics business unit, maintaining the position of CEO in the Greek subsidiary.

In 2010 he joined Draeger, an international leader (since 1889) in the fields of Medical acute care and Safety, manufacturing products, devices etc. to protect, support and save lives also in the industry, mining, fire services, marine industry etc.

His  first task was to establish  the subsidiary in Greece, as Draeger Hellas SA (until then Draeger was operating in Greece through distributors). He became the CEO of the local subsidiary (position which keeps also today) having also the responsibility of Cyprus.

The effort was to develop the newly established subsidiary and lead it so to get also the recognition that Draeger has worldwide in the Greek market too. Draeger Hellas has, anymore, 36 employees, achieving 15 M€ approx. revenues (2020 estim.) and is recognized as market leader also in the Greek market.

His vision for the next years is Draeger Hellas to contribute further in the development of Hospital Acute care market (ICU, OR’s, NICU etc) in the Greek Hospitals , as well as, to enhance the awareness of Safety and prevention in the Greek industry, mining, Fire services and in general in all workplaces where the human life could be at risk, by transferring the deep knowledge of an international company as Draeger and with an 130 years of experience at these fields.
