Carolin Schenuit has been working for the German Energy Agency (dena) in the department for energy systems and energy services since 2014. In her function as Teamleader System and Market Integration Renewable Energies, her activities cover a wide range of topics from the design of future integrated energy markets to the industry political framework for the energy transition in Germany and Europe and to multilateral think tank work with Chinese institutions.
Carolin Schenuit has been working in international contexts with European, Asian and US-American business partners on the implementation of renewable energies both in practical application and in strategic consultations on energy and climate policy frameworks. Further areas of activity are the identification of suitable market structures for grid-oriented flexibility options, the potential and rollout pathways for power-to-gas applications to the implementation of demand side management measures in companies and the development of progressive, transition-oriented grid tariff structures.
She is experienced in managing teams and projects, enjoys interaction with different stakeholders and is a seasoned speaker and moderator.
Before to joining dena, she gained 8 years of industry experience working for project developers for renewable energies in different functions from product management to strategic purchasing and quality management. She studied industrial engineering with a focus on environmental technologies at the University of Applied Sciences in Trier.
