Curriculum Vitae

Gregory is Senior Partner at Ballas Pelecanos Law. He studied law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds an LL.M. from University College London, in Intellectual Property, Competition Law, Company Law and International Economic Law. A member of the Athens Lawyers’ Association since 1982, Gregory is admitted before the Supreme Court and Council of State.

In addition to advising clients, he regularly litigates before courts and has extensive international and Greek arbitration experience under ICC, LCIA, Greek International Arbitration and domestic rules. Ballas Pelecanos Law (www.ballas-pelecanos.com) is an active member of Business and Tech law associations, including the EU Automotive Law Group and Lexing, both independent law-firm networks focusing on, amongst others, the applications of robotics and AI to industry and services and related IP, data-privacy and product liability issues. Gregory has served as Chairman of the Law and Informatics Committee of the Greek Computer Society and is currently Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Hellenic – German Chamber of Commerce.

Legal journals have published dozens of court judgments on cases he has argued.  He has authored articles, edited and contributed to legal books and written the country chapters for a variety of publications on many IP, computer law, agency and distribution, Greek and European Union competition law, bankruptcy law, arbitration law and investment law matters, and also regularly lectures and presents topics at conferences on competition, arbitration and IP issues in Greece and abroad.
